Item Detail: 1000 feet of single-pair cross-connect wire. 24 gauge. Used to complete lines on a 66 block. Cross connect cable is used to connect pins on a 66 block to each other and is essentially the same thing as a single pair of wire within an Ethernet cable. Whether a cat5e, cat6, or 25 pair cable is punched down to a 66 block the connection ends on that pin unless a cross connect cable is punched down to the corresponding pins to another 66 block or to another pin on the same 66 block, this is called “daisy chaining”. Daisy chaining is using one pair of cross connect cable on a 66 block that is punched down with the non-cutting side of a punch down tool blade.
