EZ-RJ45 Strain Relief Boots from Platinum Tools
Specifically designed to be crimped with the EZ-RJ45® plugs, there are two Patent Pending versions offered for both the Cat5e and the Cat6 plugs in voice and data applications. The primary strain relief of the plug locks the snag proof strain relief in place so they will not pull off, creating one, integral assembly. Once crimped, this design allows the plug's primary strain relief to relax slightly, preventing the cable pairs from being over compressed due to getting pulled on or the weight of the cable pulling downward. This decrease in stress contributes to achieving peak performance and helps maintain the quality and integrity of the cable for longer periods of time. The tab on the strain relief is designed to extend over the plug's locking tab, making it snag proof when administering patch cords; this also helps to make sure the mod plug will stay in the port on a patch panel, keystone jack, switch, or router that it was intended to be plugged.
